A Chicago native, Rica has been making music since she could hold a violin at 4 years old.  She fell in love with DJing during college, hosting a new music radio show on KLMU in Los Angeles, as well as recording mixes for dance teams and workout instructors.  After graduating with an honors degree in Communications, she moved back to Chicago where she has since gained a decade of experience bringing live audio and visuals to life for nightclubs, bars, and hundreds of private and corporate groups.  Past clients include Viacom, T-Mobile, Cardinal Health, Sephora, Appfolio, Stryker, JP Morgan, State Farm, Open Books, the Chicago Park District, Salesforce, and the NBA.

DJ Rica is absolutely fantastic! She was the DJ for both of my daughters’ Bat Mitzvahs, as well as several fundraisers for our local elementary school. Rica can “read the room” better than anyone and always selects the right vibe for the party guests. She has amazing people skills and entertains adults and kids of all ages.

​Rica is masterful with music and always follows guidelines while making any necessary adjustments during the event. She engages well with all guests and gets everyone on the dance floor. One of the things that I believe makes Rica stand out is her dedication to the craft of DJ'ing. Her respect for the craft informs everything that she does, which allows her to be versatile in whatever type of room she plays. This is crucial, because a corporate event or wedding is going to have a completely different vibe than an underground party, or a gig in Ibiza. Rica, with her extensive knowledge of the many music subgenres that exist today, can adjust accordingly, and create the experience each set demands. She's also has a star presence that adds to any event she's a part of. Rica also has extensive knowledge in visual projection, which has pretty much become a required part of any high end DJ set.

I definitely want Rica to DJ for my live performances (I'm an artist myself); having her with me will only add to what I can do with my shows, and her presence will make me even better as a performer. Any support thrown behind her can only elevate her already dynamic brand.

We had a company holiday party with about 100 people where Rica stepped in and blew us all away! With a variety of age groups and music taste, Rica did an incredible job at tailoring to her audience and ensuring the dance floor was never left empty. She took song requests on an IPad and was extremely patient with our guests. The party ended around 10:00pm and guests were asking to stay longer!
