Do I need a PA for my ceremony?
This depends! In the interest of keeping our musician pricing competitive, we always start our pricing without a PA included. This way, if your venue provides a PA and wireless mic (as many do), you won't be stuck footing the bill for equipment you don't need.

Since ceremonies tend to be on the quieter side, you likely won't need additional amplification for our instrumentalists. Strings sound great acoustic, and all of our guitar & keyboard packages include an instrument amp.

That said, we recommend considering a PA if...
  • Your venue does not provide a house mic/PA.
  • Your officiant and readers do not have loud speaking voices.
  • You are expecting over 100 guests.
  • Your ceremony is outside.
  • You've hired a vocalist to perform.

Live Music at Cocktail Hour
Since guests tend to get into party mode once the champagne is flowing, we always recommend proper amplification for all instrumentalists during your cocktail hour. Your DJ is happy to furnish a PA & wireless mic for their standard overtime rate.
