Elio is a Chicago-based rhythm-obsessed artist and DJ. They have been a percussionist, creative, and music lover their whole life. Elio began dancing at a young age, focusing primarily on tap dancing, hiphop, and street-styles. This training, as well as working in the rave, festival, and club scenes, has shaped their musical ear and passion for curating euphoric dance floor energy. 

Raised on Earth, Wind, and Fire, the Talking Heads, and Beck, Elio weaves between vintage goodies and fresh tracks, keeping you locked in as they take you on a musical world tour. You might hear influences of disco, R&B, house, afrobeats, reggaeton, and pop while they are on the decks. While spinning from an eclectic collection, Elio finds the most joy in bringing people together on the dance floor, and is committed to collaborating with the happy couple to create the perfect vibe for their special day. 

When they are not DJing, they work as sculptor & installation artist, event producer, harm reductionist, and teacher.

We hired Elio from Green Line to DJ our wedding last month, and they were incredible! From start to finish, Elio made the process so easy. They met with us over Zoom about a month beforehand to go over every detail and were always quick to respond to emails along the way.

On the big day, Elio went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly. They handled our non-traditional backyard setup with total professionalism and made sure we stayed on track for speeches, dances, and all the little transitions. The cocktail hour and dinner playlists perfectly matched what we’d discussed, and when it was time to dance, Elio absolutely delivered. The flow from disco to ’90s hip-hop to modern pop (and yes, even the family-tradition chicken dance) was seamless.

I might be biased because it was our wedding — but it was hands-down the best dance floor I’ve ever seen. On top of their skill, Elio’s calm, collected energy helped me feel relaxed and fully present throughout the night. I can’t recommend them enough!

We had DJ Elio and they were fantastic! They touched base with us multiple times before our wedding, and were super patient and understanding with us as we decided on the vibes. We ended up with several genres planned for different parts of the night with a few must plays as well. Elio took it in stride and kept people on the dance floor. Several of our guests commented on how great the DJ was. We couldn’t be happier and would absolutely recommend Elio to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding or next function

They were super knowledgeable about what was needed ahead of time, super organized, and helped us get everything done that was needed (which is no small task when planning a wedding!). Helpful presence the day of. Of course the music was PERFECT! Amazing crowd mix, but did a special set toward the end of the night. Highly recommend!

DJ Elio was so GREAT to work with!! They worked with us on our music taste and even helped us figure out how to incorporate a custom song file for my dad to sing to. Elio also helped us keep our wedding day flowing in the absence of a wedding coordinator with announcements throughout the day/night. Above and beyond no doubt and every interaction with them was comforting and reassuring. And the dance floor at our wedding was full all night to no surprise. Thank you Elio!!

My wife and I highly recommend our DJ, Elio Baseman with Green Line Talent for your wedding! Elio did an outstanding job not only at the event, but in the prep. They were always very responsive to emails, and willing to have as many meetings as it took to achieve our vibe.
