ARTISTIC INFLUENCES:
Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Burial, The Prodigy, Underworld, Goldie, Black Sabbath, Misfits, The Exploited, Cream, Pink Floyd, Thievery Corporation, Agitation-Free, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Billy Cobham, Sergio Mendes, John Coltrane, Fela Kuti, Tony Allen. 💪 LOW-KEY FLEX: I love street art! I've spent countless hours of freetime drawing & painting graffiti and have several black books filled with original pieces and even have several of them hanging in my apartment. NICHE: I love Psychedelic Rock, Krautrock, and West African music so much that I often daydream about which sounds & songs go together. I enjoy layering ambient sounds with actual songs, vocal sound samples, and live instruments. I've also recorded my own djembe, bongo, and castanet parts to sprinkle into songs and mixes. Painting a psychedelic soundscape using sound, it can really take you places. FUN FACT: One of the best times of my life was seeing the Drum & Bass legend Goldie play at Smartbar [a wonderful Chicago club] in December of last year. I stood right in the front and got to shake his hand at the end of his set! He even gave me a sticker [that I now have framed haha]. |

Meet Greta, a Lithuanian-born, Chicago-based DJ, percussionist, and music producer with one of those infectiously effervescent vibes that can truly light up a room! Greta is known for blending an eclectic mix of genres and creating an inviting, warm, and truly exceptional atmosphere.
Greta spent her childhood years in Eastern Europe, where she had the privilege of being exposed to a lot of good music from a very young age. The daughter of an early DJ pioneer, Greta watched her father as he operated his own audio/video shop. This meant that new releases, good ol' favourites, and rare bootlegs were often on repeat in her household. Once her brother began DJing, Greta was soon to follow, and the rest is history! Greta began her DJ career by getting lost in House, Dance, Electronica, and Drum'n'Bass by age thirteen. While electronic dance music was definitely her comfort zone - she often found herself seeking more ethnic, acoustic, and vintage sounds from around the world. With rhythm in her blood, Greta soon found her love for drums, and learned how to play a regular kit, djembe, bongos, and dundun. Over time, Greta has built a large collection of favorites spanning from the 60s to present day gems. Her friends and colleagues have come to know her as an expert on Psychedelic Rock, Krautrock, Classical, Blues and Jazz, and always the girl to turn to when you need a song recommendation. Greta's up-beat attitude, and tactful sense of humour combined with her expansive knowledge of music will make her a fantastic partner for your big day! /
