Griffo has been featured on FunnyorDie, YouTube, and Buzzfeed, and the Chicago Sun Times described his one-man show as “both toe-tapping and rib-tickling”.  A former Musical Director of Second City, he’s performed for the Deltones at iO Chicago, was in the original cast of Second City’s musical comedy group “Infinite Sundaes”, and at the Black Box Comedy Festival Atlanta, LA Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Big Little Comedy Fest Cleveland, Chicago Sketchfest, The Laugh Factory Chicago, and the Charleston Comedy Festival, and opened for Reggie Watts.

Over the last decade, Matt has has DJed  hundreds of multi-cultural weddings, Irish & Polish parings, literally flying in from those places, Brazilian & American, Indian & American, American & Chinese, Chinese, Indian, Italian & American, Russian & American, and more. We are so glad we worked with the Greenline team for our Chicago wedding! They made planning so easy, and the DJ for our wedding, Matt Griffo, did SUCH a great job! He was such a big help during the planning process, giving us tips and guidance on our timeline, and was always available for a call.

We used Green Line Talent to book the DJ for our wedding. The company was so unbelievably helpful and responsive to all of our questions. They paired us with DJ Griffo, and we are so glad they did! Griffo was extremely knowledgeable and very good at his craft. He talked with us several time before the big day. He helped us tweak and finalize our timeline, which proved to be very beneficial. From cocktail to the final song, he played all the right selections and had the dance floor full all night! People were still talking about him at our family parties months later! Matt nailed our vision for music throughout our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He beautifully wove together three separate themes we wanted to move through and helped make the experience incredible. When it came to the dance party portion of the evening, Matt's skills really shone. He kept everyone on the dance floor until the very last minute we had the venue. He knew exactly when to switch songs and never switched too early. He read the room and made sure there was never a dull moment. As MC introducing our speakers, he did a wonderful job keeping everything on track. He's also fun and personable. I'd hire him again in a second!​

 Matt was awesome as our wedding DJ/musician! We had an intercultural wedding with Indian elements interspersed within a secular Western ceremony. Matt corralled the guests with energetic "Baraat" music that he played with his boombox, encouraging them to dance as they made their way to their seats; his energy was contagious and guests had a great time. He then played 3 different songs live on his Ukulele, which he learned upon our request, as the officiant, groom and bride all walked down the aisle one by one. Several guests remarked that they loved Matt's interpretation of these songs by Coldplay, Frankie Valli, and even Guns N' Roses. For the cocktail hour, Matt not only kept the guests entertained with a Rat Pack playlist that he DJ'ed, but he also MC'ed the evening, cueing in the speeches and smartly playing songs that picked up on words from the speeches after. He brought a smile to all our faces that evening. We got in touch with Matt through Green Line Talent. The whole process was so easy. Matt was laid back but continually putting us at ease, throughout the process of finalizing the music. Shoutout to Imani from Green Line Talent for her help with coordinating everything from getting the song lists to Matt, to ensuring we knew when each payment was due. We would 100% recommend them and Matt to any couples getting married.

Green Line Talent was simply fantastic to work with! Our DJ Matt Griffo was super responsive throughout the process and just an overall professional at his craft. The dance floor was bumping all night long and he did an excellent job of blending our musical tastes with some additional songs throughout that blended perfectly and really gave everyone a song to dance to. We got married a couple of weeks ago in Chicago and used GLT to book both our ceremony/cocktail hour strings and our reception DJ. From the beginning, they made everything *so* easy. Imani from GLT made the process of choosing a DJ super easy, and they clearly know the individuals who make up their roster well – we wanted our wedding to be one giant dance party, so she recommended Matt Griffo (Griffo) because of his ability to read the room and make sure people are dancing. They also set us up with a trio from Chicago Street Strings for the ceremony/cocktail hour, who were amazing and easy to work with and learned a new song for us for our recessional for free. We got *so many* compliments on them!!! And, as wanted, Matt had people dancing the entire reception, honored all of our weird little requests, and stayed in contact with us in a behind-the-scenes way during the reception to make sure everything was perfect. GLT's pre-event music form also made everything so much easier. Would 100% recommend them to anyone!!!!

Our wedding DJ, Matt Griffo, through Green Line Talent, did a truly amazing job performing and selecting music for our big day! My husband and I cannot recommend his creative talent enough. If you are looking for someone to perform for your upcoming event or your big day, our loved ones were absolutely raving about how fun the music was and how there was a great balance of something for everyone! That included Polish and Italian selections that got some of our more stubborn family members out on the dance floor, too and was so special to see!

Matt is truly an outstanding musician, as he played the piano during cocktail hour for us and truly added to the magic and sense of ambiance that started off our wedding reception. He is incredibly talented as a pianist and a musician in all regards, though this musical ability truly added a special touch to our cocktail hour.

When it came time for dinner and introductions, Matt was enthusiastic and jubilant in a way that our guests leaned into as well! He did a great job setting the tone and getting the positive energy going right away. Matt's musical selections for the dance floor were, however, especially notable as all of our loved ones were dancing the whole night all the way to the point that we had to leave the venue! Matt's talent for music and truly knowing an audience as well as his genuine understanding and consistent check-ins with us throughout the evening made things run super smooth and made our big day an incredibly fun and successful event! Matt even shared some amazing video footage he got from his angle on the stage with us before we even left the venue and we were laughing and smiling at all of our family and friends' interesting and silly dance moves after we left the reception hall. It was so special he went out of his way to share those videos with us right away! He truly cared about making our wedding day extra special and was willing to go out of his way to do so.

Beyond the day-of, Matt was great at coordinating and collaborating with us and was attentive to our questions as well as our suggestions in order to ensure our day could be personalized but in a way that was well-guided by his expertise! He was beyond flexible and even called to check in and verify the details prior to the night-of. We are so thankful to Matt for knowing his stuff and to Green Line Talent for their well-organized services, dedicated team, timely responsiveness, and fabulous customer care! We average 25+ weddings a year, and about 70% of the receptions will hire DJs for their wedding ceremonies and receptions.

I met Matt Griffo from Green Line Talent this past year, and he was a joy to work with. My clients had a very specific playlist, and Matt did an excellent job executing everything they wanted.

Working in the wedding industry for more than ten years, what I appreciate the most about Matt is that he’s dependable, always on time, and excellent at getting the wedding party together to do introductions (keeping things on schedule!) which is not easy when everyone is going in different directions.

We hired Matt Griffo just a week and a half before our wedding! We originally were going to go without a DJ but realized that with all of the little details day-of we really needed someone to help with the ceremony music, cocktail hour, and MC-ing for the reception. Matt came through for us right when we needed him and did not disappoint! We received compliments from multiple people on the music selection and our officiant even asked if we had a wedding coordinator (we did not) since everything went so smoothly. We attribute a lot of the "smoothness" to Matt and his ability to keep track of the schedule, when we were supposed to transition to dinner, and when toasts (we had a lot!) were supposed to happen. Let me begin by saying that not only was DJ Matt the most talented DJ we have ever witnessed, but he exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From his piano playing at cocktail hour (and at midnight NYE!!!!), to outstanding performance as a MC/ DJ…Matt was nothing short of fantastic. He routinely checked in with us to ensure that everything was going to plan and helped us structure our wedding through his experience and knowledge.  His guidance proved essential to the success of the evening as Ash and I obviously lost track of time and any semblance of structure as soon as the reception began.

I had the pleasure of working with Matt Griffo twice this summer- the first time was at Chicago Botanic Gardens where we had a (whacky) family dynamic-  there was a band (full on 8-piece bluegrass family band) playing for cocktail hour- FOB decided at the last minute that the band would also play at dinner-  

Matt wound up having to switch up his whole program, make room for them, introduce them. Fill in when they went on breaks- it was crazy-  I have worked with many deejays and all I can tell you is that very few people would have handled this client's crazy change of plans so professionally.  Not only was Matt totally flexible and accommodating- he actually approached it with enthusiasm!! My assistant and I were both so impressed-- 

Fast forward to Cafe Brauer last weekend- where FOB waited until guest arrival (against my advice) to bring his DVD which he needed for his AV presentation/toast.. The media was not readable- (something was wrong with the disc and of course they only brought one copy) and It simply wouldn't work-obviously story short, we had some hectic, crazy moments of semi-panic then the woman who produced the video descended upon our night with a box of cables to help fix the problem.   This person was so rude and unprofessional-  very unfriendly to all of us, especially Matt-  she was not a wedding guest, she was only there for about 30 minutes and then finally she was gone like a bad dream- again, Matt never lost his cool and really was as accommodating as ever- a total PRO- I cannot tell you enough how lovely he is to work with!

Directly from the get go DJ Matt put us at ease. He met us at the cocktail hour, after pictures and said "everything is going great, we are all set - now how can I help you?".

The dance floor was packed the entire night, to the point that people were chanting "one more song" at the end of the night (being 1:30am). DJ Matt pleased the crowd by playing one more song. I think we could have gone on all night if the W would have let us.

​So many people came up to us and couldn’t believe how quickly the night went (great music will do that). Not once did my wife or I have to request or say anything to Matt. He progressed the night perfectly, read what the crowd was feeling and really controlled the party. At numerous points through out the evening even our 80+ year old grandparents were up there dancing.

We used Green Line Talent to book the DJ for our wedding. The company was so unbelievably helpful and responsive to all of our questions. They paired us with DJ Griffo, and we are so glad they did! Griffo was extremely knowledgeable and very good at his craft. He talked with us several time before the big day. He helped us tweak and finalize our timeline, which proved to be very beneficial. From cocktail to the final song, he played all the right selections and had the dance floor full all night! People were still talking about him at our family parties months later! He even went out of his way to check in with us multiple times throughout the night and always made sure we had a drink in our hands. Can not recommend him enough!

Griffo (Matt) was our DJ/MC at our wedding in May, and he did a terrific job. He matched our dancing song selection vibes, was great on the mic throughout the dinner/speeches, and was perfect with the ceremony and cocktail hour music. His day-of communication was good and helped us go through all of the music planning with us. Overall he was exactly what we wanted at our wedding!

Matt nailed our vision for music throughout our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He beautifully wove together three separate themes we wanted to move through and helped make the experience incredible. When it came to the dance party portion of the evening, Matt's skills really shone. He kept everyone on the dance floor until the very last minute we had the venue. He knew exactly when to switch songs and never switched too early. He read the room and made sure there was never a dull moment. As MC introducing our speakers, he did a wonderful job keeping everything on track. He's also fun and personable. I'd hire him again in a second!​

 Matt was awesome as our wedding DJ/musician! We had an intercultural wedding with Indian elements interspersed within a secular Western ceremony. Matt corralled the guests with energetic "Baraat" music that he played with his boombox, encouraging them to dance as they made their way to their seats; his energy was contagious and guests had a great time. He then played 3 different songs live on his Ukulele, which he learned upon our request, as the officiant, groom and bride all walked down the aisle one by one. Several guests remarked that they loved Matt's interpretation of these songs by Coldplay, Frankie Valli, and even Guns N' Roses. For the cocktail hour, Matt not only kept the guests entertained with a Rat Pack playlist that he DJ'ed, but he also MC'ed the evening, cueing in the speeches and smartly playing songs that picked up on words from the speeches after. He brought a smile to all our faces that evening. We got in touch with Matt through Green Line Talent. The whole process was so easy. Matt was laid back but continually putting us at ease, throughout the process of finalizing the music. Shoutout to Imani from Green Line Talent for her help with coordinating everything from getting the song lists to Matt, to ensuring we knew when each payment was due. We would 100% recommend them and Matt to any couples getting married.

Green Line Talent was simply fantastic to work with! Our DJ Matt Griffo was super responsive throughout the process and just an overall professional at his craft. The dance floor was bumping all night long and he did an excellent job of blending our musical tastes with some additional songs throughout that blended perfectly and really gave everyone a song to dance to. Matt also did a fantastic job working with the venue staff and our other outside contractors for a truly seemless experience. Extremely happy with the whole experience and the cost was fantastic considering what we paid vs. what we received. 10/10!
