As a lifelong dancer, world traveller, and global performer, Kelsea truly knows what it takes to make a dance floor sizzle. You can always count on her to weave together a simply irrestible mix of house, funk, electro, world, hip hop, and electronica ingredients tastefully simmer any crowd into a state of joy.

Although she spent her youth burning playlists onto CDs, playing instruments, and dancing, it wasn’t until moving to Vietnam that she started using her musicality behind the decks. After getting her start with underground musicians and DJs in Hanoi, she’s never looked back.

Now rooted in ATX, Kelsea is known for her sets at Cheer Up Charlies, Cosmic Connection Festival, Guad Vintage Market, Batch ATX, Voodoo Room, & Native Hostel. She is also the recipient of the winning title at a recent DJ contest hosted by Baked Up!

Kelsea's other Austin endeavors include supporting women and non-binary folks in music and hosting several radio programs. She recently founded BABE ATX: an organization for women, non-binary, genderfluid, and genderqueer folks to participate in and shape Austin's electronic music scene. Kelsea also hosts “Stir Crazy” (world, house, electronica) on Shared Frequencies Radio and “Fresh Air” (various genres) on Ha Noi Community Radio.

Kelsea has such a great vibe. Not over the top or overplayed like some other DJs, and every song was on point. Perfect music that you can groove to and also enjoy conversation with others. I would say stamina is a strong suit! She’s also super friendly and open to suggestions.

“As a dance addict, what I enjoy about DJ Kelsea is that when she is in charge of the music, there’s nothing boring. There’s a clear plan and a mood she’s going for. She finds the groove and keeps you on a path of fun and exciting music. It’s not mainstream and that’s the best part. It transports me to an ancient fire-side celebration with the tribe where everyone is just letting the best take over and enjoying turning away from the world for a few hours. You will not regret booking her!
