Zach is a lifelong musician, tech savvy audiofile, and Green Line OG, boasting the most Five-Star Reviews in the Chicago Branch's history! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ He is a classically trained pianist who began writing and performing music in his teenage years. While obtaining his BA in Music Technology at Transylvania University, Zach was frequently invited to join the stage with a number of local bands, eventually landing a spot DJing for a local hip hop act. What began as a fun way to open and close shows, eventually evolved into a passion and a profession. 

Zach is well regarded for his ability to select both lesser-known tracks and modern hits that are guaranteed to get people moving. With a wide range of tastes and musical experience, he is able to put together a playlist for any occasion.

Currently Zach spends his days engineering sessions for a variety of musicians in his production studio, writing and mixing his own music, and gigging with a few different local acts. When he’s not in the studio, you might find him riding down Lake Front Trail or catching a jazz concert at the Green Mill tavern near his apartment.

We worked with DJ Zach B as well as a Solo acoustic guitarist for our November wedding and WOW was I blown away!! Our guitarist (Dillon) was amazing, his vocals & guitar set was incredible and exactly what we were looking for for cocktail hour entertainment. Zach B was incredible to work with throughout the whole process. He met with us before hand to go through out preferences at a local brewery and help us nail everything down. Day of, everything from our dinner music to the dance party was amazing. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and he was able to read the room to appeal to a wide variety of audiences. He had my 80 year old grandpa dancing with our 30 somethings friends! Zach also came up with such a great soundtrack for dinner, that people are still raving about. My husband and I have a generally similar taste in music and vision of how we wanted our wedding to feel, but we were having a hard time narrowing down what would actually play and how to balance some of our differing tastes. Zach met us at a coffee shop for an hour and a half and pulled out of us exactly what we were looking for. He also accommodated our bizarre requests (like playing Atlien’s, Creed remix “One Last Dance” for our first dance, masterfully balanced Jewish songs for the Horah, made sure to play ENOUGH Beyonce for my liking, announced that I wanted to have a Limbo Competition mid party, AND played my husband sleeper hit requests like “I’m Blue”). Our guest’s reviews said it all - months later friends and family are stilling coming up to us noting how great Zach was and how much fun they had. Despite a venue that was super hot in the middle of a heat wave, that didn’t stop our guests from truly raging - thanks to you Zach!

I made sure to write a review just so I could rave about our DJ, Zach B., and by extension, Green Line Talent. Anyone who talked to me for 30 seconds about our wedding knew that I cared a ton about the dance party. We left the music in Zach's excellent hands, and he carried it to soaring heights. Zach had people on the dance floor all night and many guests said he was the best DJ they'd ever heard. And this started from months of preparation--Zach met us before, got a feel for our music tastes, and then exhaustively reviewed genres and music artists with us to make sure he compiled the perfect playlist. His transitions were fantastic-- I'm still listening to them. And when we had a lighting fiasco a week before the wedding, Green Line immediately had our backs with their uplighting package (which was awesome, by the way). Book Green Line talent. Book Zach!!We had such a great experience with Green Line Talent. They were great about follow up and coordination - so easy to work with. We had Zach B as our DJ and he was incredible. We absolutely loved our experience with Green Line Talent for our wedding on 5/18/25. We initially met with Imani to talk about what we were looking for and how their process worked. We took their online quiz with matched us three DJs, we went with DJ Zach B. We also signed on for a string/harp trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The trio was amazing, we had so many compliments on the music and we loved that they were able to learn a specific song for me to walk down the aisle to. Hannah, the coordinator was great with communication. Nichole (harpist), Rachel (violinist), and Tim (cellist) were flexible, professional, and so kind. They were amazing performers! Our time with Zach was also loads of fun. We met with him prior to our wedding for us to talk about must-haves, do-not-play songs, etc. and he helped us go through some things we didn't think of. He was great during our wedding! Professional, organized, and went with the flow when our timing got a little off track :) He really read the room and the dance floor was packed all night. We are still getting compliments on the music selection and our DJ! Green Line was great along the whole way. Between Imani, Hannah, Zach, and the musicians, the team was great, communicative, and flexible when we added on some extras closer to our wedding date. We had a great experience and everything exceeded our expectations.​

We had our wedding at Salvage One. Zach knew the space perfectly and crushed the music selection. My partner and I have pretty different music tastes but he was able to work in songs for each of us. We especially loved that he read the crowd, would try out songs, and if they weren't hitting, was able to adapt, adjust, and mix in a new song. Great for keeping the dance floor alive deep into the night. Easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely work with Zach again!

​Our DJ Zach was amazing, and we really enjoyed working with Green Line Talent. They made the selection and planning process super easy for us, and we had an in person meeting with Zach a few months before the wedding to go over our plan and do a vibe check, which was great for our confidence. On the day, Zach got to the venue early and set up in no time, he was constantly in communication with us, the GM for the venue, and our photographer about our timeline, he was a great MC, and the music choices throughout were on point. We got a bunch of compliments from our guests on how much fun they had dancing and how much they enjoyed the music. Zach even recorded the audio from our ceremony and toasts during the reception and shared the edited files within a week! If you're thinking about booking Green Line Talent---I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We got married in October 2023 and our guests have continued to say it was their favorite wedding with the most interactive party. This was made possible in large part to Zach from Green Line! Having special music moments was a top priority for my husband and I planning our wedding and Zach could not have been more helpful and flexible in curating exactly what we were hoping. We also had a request for an extra mic to sing and perform (LOL) on stage at our wedding and he was totally cool with it! We had so much fun and our guests had the chance to sing along and perform as well. It was such a fun dance and karaoke party that made the night feel like 'us' and felt unique. Such an amazing and easy experience with Green Line Talent. Their questionnaire process was very efficient and helpful in finding the perfect DJ match for our needs. We felt very lost going into the process of searching, but they had all the right tools to put us at ease. Zach really was the perfect DJ for our wedding night. We got married at an art gallery on April 1st, 2023 and had gotten in touch with GLT for a DJ. The team was great to work with, after a quick quiz call with Imani and Erica we got a list of DJ recommendations. We chose Zach from the list as it seemed like his musical profile best suited what we were looking for.

Zach was terrific to work with, after a quick meet up and finalizing our survey we were able to narrow down what we were planning for the day. We intermixed some specifically chosen Chinese songs with some modern and classic hits for the ceremony, cocktail hour and open dance and the dance floor was hopping throughout the evening, just like we wanted it! We used Green Line Talent for our wedding reception and they were wonderful to work with. I really like the survey they have on their website to help us determine what types of music we wanted for various parts of our reception. We also liked how many DJs they have with different styles. We were paired with Zach and he was everything we could have hoped for. He requested to meet us in person and got our music style down as well as the exact type of songs we did and did not want. DJ Zach Bain is a phenomenal person and we don't have enough words to describe his efforts and strong character. He made sure to connect with us very early on to get a good idea about ours likes in music and genres. Come wedding day, which was in an outdoor setting, we experienced an inclement weather situation in Chicago's summer months. But Zach, being a trooper, came through and managed to keep the mood of the party uplifted. He is the reason for the party to go on smoothly without any interruption in entertainment. Zach is not only a superb DJ but a strong willed and selfless person who goes above and beyond to make sure the client and their guest are enjoying the party. Greenline talent was a fantastic talent agency to work with. We completed a short form and they recommended a few DJs that fit our needs and wants. Each DJ had a mix that we were able to preview to feel out their genre and style.
We worked with Zach and he smashed it out of the park. We met with him a month before the wedding and did a comprehensive overview of the different types of music we would like (and not like). We compiled a spotify playlist with all the different music for different parts of the wedding. Zach read the room with skill and played music that kept the party going. Many of our guests commented on the fantastic music and we loved how many people were on the dance floor instead of sitting in their seats. If the party didn’t end at midnight I’m sure everyone could have gone another hour or two.

Zach was a pleasure to work with ! He was super organized and excellent with clarifying exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. We had DJ Zach B at our wedding on 7/16/22, and he was awesome! Zach was the DJ for our wedding and he absolutely nailed the music choices we were hoping for. He met with us prior to discuss our taste and although my wife and I had somewhat different tastes in music, he was able to blend the two seamlessly and keep the energy up the entire night. We had a small wedding (less than 60) and it was incredible that Zach's energy was great enough to keep people on the dance floor consistently the ENTIRE night. There aren’t enough words to express how great of an experience we had with Zach from Green Line Talent. He played EXACTLY what we wanted. Green Line Talent was a joy to work with from start to finish. Like many couples, we were affected by COVID-19 and had to move our date three times. Each time Green Line Talent was responsive and flexible for us. They have multiple DJs to choose from with a great profile for each on their website. We went with Zach Bain-Selbo and were so happy we did. A great dancefloor was my top priority when planning our wedding - it was the first thing I booked - and Zach made sure the dancefloor was going the whole night. I had a lot of opinions for the wedding music and was able to coordinate ahead of time along with day-of changeups. Zach accommodated my vibe suggestions as well as playing several deep cuts from my wedding planning playlist throughout the night.

I may be biased, but this was the most consistently lively wedding dancefloor I've experienced. I had to do a lot of running around on the night, but every time I made my way for 90 seconds of dancing, the crowd and music was perfect. Zach is a huge reason why. I don't plan on having another wedding, but if I did, I'd hire Zach again in a heartbeat.

Zach Bain-Selbo was our DJ day of and he was wonderful! Zach was our DJ for our August 2021 wedding and we could not have been happier. From the minute we booked Green Line Talent, we instantly felt at ease. Zach was our DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely spectacular. Music was one of the most important parts of the wedding for us, and Zach more than delivered on expertise, equipment, and MC-ing skills. He kept everything moving smoothly throughout the night and was able to quickly pick up on the energy of the party. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Green Line Talent if you are looking for easy to work with owners for planning, talented DJs, and music to keep your dancefloor full all night long! Elissa and Erica were awesome to work with from the beginning and very responsive. Their recommendation for a DJ to fit our style was spot on with Zach and their website is set up to easily research which DJ’s style works best for you. We were able to talk with Zach before signing the contract and he immediately sold us with his kindness, can-do attitude, and experience. When filling out the planning form and talking with Zach a couple months in advance, he was very helpful in making sure he had a playlist of music we liked and knew the plan for the day of. My husband was especially interested in being involved, so Zach even sent over the list of songs a week in advance for review. We LOVED that he allowed us to be a big part of the process. Also, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was so supportive and flexible throughout the process of trying to adapt to state re-opening and mitigation restrictions. The day of our wedding, Zach exceeded our expectations by helping the ceremony and reception run smoothly, hand delivering my first drink from the bar (how sweet was that?!!), checking in throughout the night, adjusting for 30 minutes of overtime when the party wasn’t ready to end, and keeping the dancefloor full all night long! My husband and I have never been much for the dancing at weddings, but with our type of music, DJ Zach, and no cheesy line dances…we were out on the dancefloor THE ENTIRE NIGHT!! We were absolutely blown away by our experience with Green Line Talent and especially our DJ, Zach, for our wedding. We currently live in Phoenix, AZ but had our wedding back home in Chicago, IL. Green Line Talent was recommended by our event planner and even after talking to other DJ companies we felt like Green Line Talent was exactly what we wanted. They aren't your cookie cutter massive wedding DJ company. Zach's profile stood out to us because of his experience in ALL areas of music through his life and career, not just weddings. We had all of our meetings via Skype and email and he was really flexible with our busy work schedules and the time zone differences. Zach took our WIDE RANGE of music tastes and mixed them into the perfect set for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. It wasn't just a playlist either, he had awesome transitions from song to song and was able to read the crowd well.He also handled our "no play list" and guest requests professionally and appropriately. I've never seen so many people out on the dance floor and we got so many compliments from friends and family in regards to the music all night. Zach from Green Line Talent was great. We were cutting it close to find a DJ for our wedding and really lucked out working with him. He took the time to meet with us several weeks in advance of our big day to brainstorm ideas and get a sense of the feel we wanted for the event. He also helped us track down a polka song to include. In addition, he made excellent suggestions based on what we had come up with beforehand. The day of the event we went with having the ceremony on the venue's outdoor terrace. We used Green Line Talent for our wedding in October 2018. Having a good crowd on the dance floor all night long was important to us, but I was definitely nervous about our ability to choose music that would appeal to the whole guest list. Also, getting married in the outer fringes of the suburbs, with a smaller budget, I was a little worried our only options were going to end up being someone's uncle or a DJ whose influences are solely 80's hair metal bands. I mean, there's a time and place for everything...but with Green Line Talent & DJ Zach, we were able to have music that felt true to ourselves, but still had a little something for everyone, without sacrificing quality or spending an arm and a leg!

Getting a quote was easy and had all of the info I needed when making initial comparisons - no back-and-forth, hidden fees or pressure to book. I love that the "roster" section of the website has MULTIPLE sample mixes for each DJ - I saw so many other DJ companies that just don't do that. Meeting face-to-face to get to know Zach and talk about music tastes and preferences was great, despite the fact we weren't the most prepared couple at that time (pro tip: don't schedule your DJ meeting for the day after your bachelorette party)!​

Zach is a professional and talented DJ. His in depth-knowledge of music theory and audio equipment shines through in not only his performances, but also in his ability to assess any problematic situations that may occur during the setup of equipment. Zach DJed for an event I held at the end of this past summer. The show was a mini music festival where we had bands alternating between 2 stages all day. Green Line Talent was the obvious choice for our December 2018 wedding after contacting multiple DJ companies in the Chicago area. Loved, loved, loved this DJ! You have to hear his work for sure! The music was never, too loud or overpowering. During dinner the music was only "dinner music" and beautiful. Zach is a lifelong musician, tech savvy audiofile, and Green Line OG, boasting the most Five-Star Reviews in the Chicago Branch's history! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ He is a classically trained pianist who began writing and performing music in his teenage years. While obtaining his BA in Music Technology at Transylvania University, Zach was frequently invited to join the stage with a number of local bands, eventually landing a spot DJing for a local hip hop act. What began as a fun way to open and close shows, eventually evolved into a passion and a profession. 

Zach is well regarded for his ability to select both lesser-known tracks and modern hits that are guaranteed to get people moving. With a wide range of tastes and musical experience, he is able to put together a playlist for any occasion.

Currently Zach spends his days engineering sessions for a variety of musicians in his production studio, writing and mixing his own music, and gigging with a few different local acts. When he’s not in the studio, you might find him riding down Lake Front Trail or catching a jazz concert at the Green Mill tavern near his apartment.

We worked with DJ Zach B as well as a Solo acoustic guitarist for our November wedding and WOW was I blown away!! Our guitarist (Dillon) was amazing, his vocals & guitar set was incredible and exactly what we were looking for for cocktail hour entertainment. Zach B was incredible to work with throughout the whole process. He met with us before hand to go through out preferences at a local brewery and help us nail everything down. Day of, everything from our dinner music to the dance party was amazing. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and he was able to read the room to appeal to a wide variety of audiences. He had my 80 year old grandpa dancing with our 30 somethings friends! Zach also came up with such a great soundtrack for dinner, that people are still raving about. My husband and I have a generally similar taste in music and vision of how we wanted our wedding to feel, but we were having a hard time narrowing down what would actually play and how to balance some of our differing tastes. Zach met us at a coffee shop for an hour and a half and pulled out of us exactly what we were looking for. He also accommodated our bizarre requests (like playing Atlien’s, Creed remix “One Last Dance” for our first dance, masterfully balanced Jewish songs for the Horah, made sure to play ENOUGH Beyonce for my liking, announced that I wanted to have a Limbo Competition mid party, AND played my husband sleeper hit requests like “I’m Blue”). Our guest’s reviews said it all - months later friends and family are stilling coming up to us noting how great Zach was and how much fun they had. Despite a venue that was super hot in the middle of a heat wave, that didn’t stop our guests from truly raging - thanks to you Zach!

I made sure to write a review just so I could rave about our DJ, Zach B., and by extension, Green Line Talent. Anyone who talked to me for 30 seconds about our wedding knew that I cared a ton about the dance party. We left the music in Zach's excellent hands, and he carried it to soaring heights. Zach had people on the dance floor all night and many guests said he was the best DJ they'd ever heard. And this started from months of preparation--Zach met us before, got a feel for our music tastes, and then exhaustively reviewed genres and music artists with us to make sure he compiled the perfect playlist. His transitions were fantastic-- I'm still listening to them. And when we had a lighting fiasco a week before the wedding, Green Line immediately had our backs with their uplighting package (which was awesome, by the way). Book Green Line talent. Book Zach!!We had such a great experience with Green Line Talent. They were great about follow up and coordination - so easy to work with. We had Zach B as our DJ and he was incredible. We absolutely loved our experience with Green Line Talent for our wedding on 5/18/25. We initially met with Imani to talk about what we were looking for and how their process worked. We took their online quiz with matched us three DJs, we went with DJ Zach B. We also signed on for a string/harp trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The trio was amazing, we had so many compliments on the music and we loved that they were able to learn a specific song for me to walk down the aisle to. Hannah, the coordinator was great with communication. Nichole (harpist), Rachel (violinist), and Tim (cellist) were flexible, professional, and so kind. They were amazing performers! Our time with Zach was also loads of fun. We met with him prior to our wedding for us to talk about must-haves, do-not-play songs, etc. and he helped us go through some things we didn't think of. He was great during our wedding! Professional, organized, and went with the flow when our timing got a little off track :) He really read the room and the dance floor was packed all night. We are still getting compliments on the music selection and our DJ! Green Line was great along the whole way. Between Imani, Hannah, Zach, and the musicians, the team was great, communicative, and flexible when we added on some extras closer to our wedding date. We had a great experience and everything exceeded our expectations.​

We had our wedding at Salvage One. Zach knew the space perfectly and crushed the music selection. My partner and I have pretty different music tastes but he was able to work in songs for each of us. We especially loved that he read the crowd, would try out songs, and if they weren't hitting, was able to adapt, adjust, and mix in a new song. If you're thinking about booking Green Line Talent---I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We got married in October 2023 and our guests have continued to say it was their favorite wedding with the most interactive party. This was made possible in large part to Zach from Green Line! Having special music moments was a top priority for my husband and I planning our wedding and Zach could not have been more helpful and flexible in curating exactly what we were hoping. We also had a request for an extra mic to sing and perform (LOL) on stage at our wedding and he was totally cool with it! We had so much fun and our guests had the chance to sing along and perform as well. It was such a fun dance and karaoke party that made the night feel like 'us' and felt unique. Such an amazing and easy experience with Green Line Talent. Their questionnaire process was very efficient and helpful in finding the perfect DJ match for our needs. We got married at an art gallery on April 1st, 2023 and had gotten in touch with GLT for a DJ. The team was great to work with, after a quick quiz call with Imani and Erica we got a list of DJ recommendations. We chose Zach from the list as it seemed like his musical profile best suited what we were looking for.

Zach was terrific to work with, after a quick meet up and finalizing our survey we were able to narrow down what we were planning for the day. We intermixed some specifically chosen Chinese songs with some modern and classic hits for the ceremony, cocktail hour and open dance and the dance floor was hopping throughout the evening, just like we wanted it! I really like the survey they have on their website to help us determine what types of music we wanted for various parts of our reception. We also liked how many DJs they have with different styles. DJ Zach Bain is a phenomenal person and we don't have enough words to describe his efforts and strong character. Come wedding day, which was in an outdoor setting, we experienced an inclement weather situation in Chicago's summer months. Greenline talent was a fantastic talent agency to work with. We completed a short form and they recommended a few DJs that fit our needs and wants. Each DJ had a mix that we were able to preview to feel out their genre and style.
We worked with Zach and he smashed it out of the park. We met with him a month before the wedding and did a comprehensive overview of the different types of music we would like (and not like). We compiled a spotify playlist with all the different music for different parts of the wedding. Zach read the room with skill and played music that kept the party going. Many of our guests commented on the fantastic music and we loved how many people were on the dance floor instead of sitting in their seats. If the party didn’t end at midnight I’m sure everyone could have gone another hour or two.

Zach was a pleasure to work with ! He was super organized and excellent with clarifying exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. We had DJ Zach B at our wedding on 7/16/22, and he was awesome! Green Line Talent was a joy to work with from start to finish. Like many couples, we were affected by COVID-19 and had to move our date three times. Each time Green Line Talent was responsive and flexible for us. They have multiple DJs to choose from with a great profile for each on their website. We went with Zach Bain-Selbo and were so happy we did. He was responsive, did a fantastic job the day of, and had a planning meeting with us a month beforehand to get to know us and our musical likes/dislikes. A great dancefloor was my top priority when planning our wedding - it was the first thing I booked - and Zach made sure the dancefloor was going the whole night. I had a lot of opinions for the wedding music and was able to coordinate ahead of time along with day-of changeups. Zach accommodated my vibe suggestions as well as playing several deep cuts from my wedding planning playlist throughout the night.

I may be biased, but this was the most consistently lively wedding dancefloor I've experienced. I had to do a lot of running around on the night, but every time I made my way for 90 seconds of dancing, the crowd and music was perfect. Zach is a huge reason why. I don't plan on having another wedding, but if I did, I'd hire Zach again in a heartbeat.

Green Line Talent was so great to work with! Such a thoughtful and responsive team. They were able to accommodate our MULTIPLE date moves, and offered tons of flexibility.

Zach Bain-Selbo was our DJ day of and he was wonderful! Some family members performed a special song for my mother/daughter dance and he made sure they had everything they needed and were able to do a sound check before hand. Zach was our DJ for our August 2021 wedding and we could not have been happier. From the minute we booked Green Line Talent, we instantly felt at ease. They had a fun questionnaire to help us figure out our style, and about 2 months out Zach set up an intro call with us to learn more about what we were looking for. We hired GLT for our October wedding and we are so happy we choose them! We choose Zach to DJ our wedding, and he was simply amazing! Zach was our DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely spectacular. Music was one of the most important parts of the wedding for us, and Zach more than delivered on expertise, equipment, and MC-ing skills. He kept everything moving smoothly throughout the night and was able to quickly pick up on the energy of the party. Our dance floor was not empty for a single second, and he did an expert job of mixing in the exact type of music we wanted. We had an extensive planning session with Zach prior to our wedding, where we discussed our ideas for music during the ceremony, at cocktail hour, during dinner, and of course, for dancing. He was also so polite, respectful, and easy to work with--he focused so hard on making the event about us and executing our vision. Zach made it so clear that we were in capable hands, which really allowed us to relax and enjoy our wedding. It's been almost a month and our friends are STILL talking about our amazing DJ. 10/10 would hire again! Don't hesitate!

We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Green Line Talent if you are looking for easy to work with owners for planning, talented DJs, and music to keep your dancefloor full all night long! Elissa and Erica were awesome to work with from the beginning and very responsive. Their recommendation for a DJ to fit our style was spot on with Zach and their website is set up to easily research which DJ’s style works best for you. We were able to talk with Zach before signing the contract and he immediately sold us with his kindness, can-do attitude, and experience. When filling out the planning form and talking with Zach a couple months in advance, he was very helpful in making sure he had a playlist of music we liked and knew the plan for the day of. My husband was especially interested in being involved, so Zach even sent over the list of songs a week in advance for review. We LOVED that he allowed us to be a big part of the process. Also, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was so supportive and flexible throughout the process of trying to adapt to state re-opening and mitigation restrictions. The day of our wedding, Zach exceeded our expectations by helping the ceremony and reception run smoothly, hand delivering my first drink from the bar (how sweet was that?!!), checking in throughout the night, adjusting for 30 minutes of overtime when the party wasn’t ready to end, and keeping the dancefloor full all night long! My husband and I have never been much for the dancing at weddings, but with our type of music, DJ Zach, and no cheesy line dances…we were out on the dancefloor THE ENTIRE NIGHT!! We were absolutely blown away by our experience with Green Line Talent and especially our DJ, Zach, for our wedding. We currently live in Phoenix, AZ but had our wedding back home in Chicago, IL. Green Line Talent was recommended by our event planner and even after talking to other DJ companies we felt like Green Line Talent was exactly what we wanted. They aren't your cookie cutter massive wedding DJ company. Zach's profile stood out to us because of his experience in ALL areas of music through his life and career, not just weddings. We had all of our meetings via Skype and email and he was really flexible with our busy work schedules and the time zone differences. Zach took our WIDE RANGE of music tastes and mixed them into the perfect set for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. It wasn't just a playlist either, he had awesome transitions from song to song and was able to read the crowd well.He also handled our "no play list" and guest requests professionally and appropriately. I've never seen so many people out on the dance floor and we got so many compliments from friends and family in regards to the music all night. Zach from Green Line Talent was great. We were cutting it close to find a DJ for our wedding and really lucked out working with him. He took the time to meet with us several weeks in advance of our big day to brainstorm ideas and get a sense of the feel we wanted for the event. He also helped us track down a polka song to include. In addition, he made excellent suggestions based on what we had come up with beforehand. The day of the event we went with having the ceremony on the venue's outdoor terrace. We hadn't decided before whether or not we wanted music during the ceremony. Zach, along with our day-of coordinator extraordinaire, went ahead and put on music, which turned out to be perfect. ​

We used Green Line Talent for our wedding in October 2018. Having a good crowd on the dance floor all night long was important to us, but I was definitely nervous about our ability to choose music that would appeal to the whole guest list. Also, getting married in the outer fringes of the suburbs, with a smaller budget, I was a little worried our only options were going to end up being someone's uncle or a DJ whose influences are solely 80's hair metal bands. I mean, there's a time and place for everything...but with Green Line Talent & DJ Zach, we were able to have music that felt true to ourselves, but still had a little something for everyone, without sacrificing quality or spending an arm and a leg!

Getting a quote was easy and had all of the info I needed when making initial comparisons - no back-and-forth, hidden fees or pressure to book. I love that the "roster" section of the website has MULTIPLE sample mixes for each DJ - I saw so many other DJ companies that just don't do that. Meeting face-to-face to get to know Zach and talk about music tastes and preferences was great, despite the fact we weren't the most prepared couple at that time (pro tip: don't schedule your DJ meeting for the day after your bachelorette party)!​

Zach is a professional and talented DJ. His in depth-knowledge of music theory and audio equipment shines through in not only his performances, but also in his ability to assess any problematic situations that may occur during the setup of equipment. I have played numerous shows with Zach, and each time he was on-time, quick to setup, and a joy to be around. He knows how to take his job seriously while also having and providing a good time. Unlike some DJs, he is very open to any music that you want played at your event, and will customize/tune any performance to your liking. Zach DJed for an event I held at the end of this past summer. The show was a mini music festival where we had bands alternating between 2 stages all day. Green Line Talent was the obvious choice for our December 2018 wedding after contacting multiple DJ companies in the Chicago area. Erica and Elissa were so responsive and easy to work with, and great at addressing our concerns, above and beyond anyone else we spoke with. They worked hard to connect us with a DJ who would be a good fit. DJ Zach was wonderfully organized and helpful leading up to the wedding and did an amazing job the day of. From the first email all the way to our wedding day the team was so easy to communicate with and made the process seamless. Erica & Elissa were always available to answer any questions we had and made the effort to make sure everything was running smooth. Zach was our DJ and he was also very easy to communicate and took the time to meet-up with us to discuss exactly what we wanted at our wedding. He accepted our goofy request (honestly goofy, a song from the Goofy Movie) for a walk-in song and was so accommodating to my mother-in-law who wanted to make the Mother/Son dance a surprise for my husband.

Loved, loved, loved this DJ! You have to hear his work for sure! The music was never, too loud or overpowering. During dinner the music was only "dinner music" and beautiful. He totally worked the crowd and for the first time ever the dance floor was packed the whole reception! Excellent and everyone complimented the music!

We are so thrilled that we chose Green Line Talent to DJ our wedding day. We have gotten so many compliments on our DJ, Zach, who killed it. We hired GLT after attending the Indie Wedding show at the Ravenswood Events Center. They paired us with their DJ selection, Zach, and we met to discuss logistics, song selection and general music preferences, prior to our August wedding.
